LG first showed its Urbane smart watch at Mobile World Congress earlier this year. A nice, solid, piece of Android Wear kit, you can now buy the Urbane through Google, Verizon, and AT&T for $349.
There are a couple of notable things about the Urbane. First of all, it feels like a watch — stainless steel with a leather band. It also has a fully round face, without the cutout at the top or bottom common to so many smart watches, even high-quality custom software watches like the Olio. And lastly, it’s running the latest version of Android Wear, which activates the watch’s WiFi chip and lets you leave a non-watchface app on screen when you wake the watch.
It should go without saying (but probably doesn’t), that using the Urbane also requires an Android phone to operate.
