Wearable Technology on the Fly

June 2, 2016 By Pugi Kohl

NotiFlyWe’ve covered some pretty outré tech directed specifically at the fairer sex to keep them on top of certain bodily functions that should remain private and unseen. Now there’s a product to covers the ups and downs of that most terrifying male social faux pas: the unzipped zipper.

Noti-Fly pants buttons can tell you, via your smartphone, that your privates may be all too public, giving you time to take care of the problem before that job interview, first date, or any situation in which an unzippered state would be embarrassing, snicker-inducing, or possibly lead to arrest.

Chaotic Moon, based in Austin, TX, developed the smartypants and have the specs and a clever-ish video on their website that features a number of young men using urinals and being reminded to zip up. (We assume the pants would work equally well for women.) But maybe the most amazing part of the video is not so much Noti-Fly, but that all the men washed and dried their hands before leaving.
