CES: Sony Core Fitness Tracker

January 8, 2014 By Dan Rosenbaum

Sony is a massively frustrating company to cover. It frequently produces exceptional cutting-edge products across the entire range of consumer technology, which it then overprices, underpromotes or somehow screws up in some other fundamental way.

At CES, Sony showed the Sony Core, wristwear along the lines of the Fitbit Flex, but with software that appears to go far beyond the conventional fitness tracking into life tracking. We’d love to show you more, but there appears to be no online information about it for those who weren’t at CES, and no way to figure out who to contact at the company.

In the meantime, Techradar appears to have gotten some hands-on time with it, and they like what they saw. But I bet you’ll never see one of these in the wild.
