Apple Touts Wearables With New TV Ad

June 5, 2014 By Dan Rosenbaum

official-apple-logo-pngApple doesn’t have its own wearable device (yet), and the iOS version with HealthKit software won’t launch until the Fall. But it’s started doing the groundwork to get the market ready.

We were watching the first game of Stanley Cup finals last night — go Rangers! — and this ad showed up between the first and second periods:

The ad includes Wahoo Fitness, Zepp Golf, Misfit Shine, Sprint Timer, Nike+ Running, Camera Slo-Mo, miCoach, and HealthMate.

In the Bay Area, the ad was followed by another for Dick’s Sporting Goods; that ad was all about activity trackers.
