The Inside Word on Wearables and Wearable Technology

iWatch Coming in September, says ReCode. Really. Honest. [UPDATED]

August 27, 2014 By Dan Rosenbaum

official-apple-logo-pngThe CodeRed blog at ReCode is reporting that Apple’s wearable device, whatever it turns out to be, will be unveiled on September 9, along the updated iPhones running HealthKit. We speculated as much when we first heard the September date.

Keep in mind, though, that although it’s a really good guess, the only out who’s reporting firmly that there’ll be new iPhones on September 9 is ReCode. Everything else you’ve heard? They’re repeating what ReCode says, couched (if they’re doing it right) with the word “reportedly” stashed somewhere. Certainly Apple isn’t confirming anything, but they never do.

[UPDATE: Apple has just sent out invitations to a September 9 event in Cupertino, near its headquarters. The tagline: “Wish We Could Say More.” Us, too]
