Nabu Razer to Take Pre-Orders Next Week in Small Quantities

November 28, 2014 By Dan Rosenbaum

RZR_Nabu_View01_Orange_US_PNGRemember the Razer Nabu? It’s a sleek notification band that tracks activity, but it’s main claim to fame was social connectivity aimed at gamers. A video at the Nabu site implies that you’ll be able to swap contact information by shaking hands with another Razer wearer, which is pretty cool, but an earlier emphasis on the gamer community seems to have evaporated.

The Nabu was announced at last year’s CES and developers were seeded in June. Now, Razer is making available 5,000 units for pre-orders starting December 2 for $80. The only catch is that you need to be an “Insider,” as they call members of the Razer social network. And you’d better hurry, because if you’re not a qualified Insider by November 30, you won’t be able to order in the first wave.
