Verge Review of LG’s G Watch R: “Meh”

November 5, 2014 By Dan Rosenbaum

lg-g-watch-r-angleThe Verge spends some time with LG’s G Watch R, and comes away less than fully impressed.

They like its round face, but Android Wear’s interface is based on rectangular cards. Circling the square results in notifications being cut off awkwardly. And if the central feature of an Android Wear watch is the notification function, that’s sort of a problem.

Also, like any other Android Wear device, it won’t work with iOS or Windows Phone. So all you iPhone and Lumia users? Not for you.

On the other hand, the specs are solid, it looks nice (if a little bulky), and it’s got a nice screen. If only it worked better.
