We’re starting to hear buzz from our cycling friends about an Israeli company called Everysight and a tech visor they’re building called the Everysight Raptor. Think of a heads-up display, like the Recon, but dedicated to road and mountain biking.
Details are very few, but the company’s Facebook page indicates that it’s been running demos for bike journalists for the last month or so, and Velonews wrote a tantalizing tease about it. The company itself says the Raptor will provide real-time data, not unlike a handlebar-mounted computer, as well as route information.
We know nothing else about this. If you do and you’re feeling chatty, please spill in the Comments section. For the rest of us, here’s their sneak peek video:
To fully appreciate their technological know-how and the competence their advantage over competitors on designing HMD (Head up mounted displays…), their parent company makes this for a living: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay6g66FbkmQ
