Lumo Gets Distribution Through Best Buy, Amazon

October 28, 2014 By Dan Rosenbaum

Lumo LiftThe Lumo Lift, a device that monitors your posture and vibrates to remind you when you’re slouching, is now being sold through Amazon and at Best Buy’s prominent wearables section, company officials say.

Lumo’s CEO Monisha Perkash said the $100 Lift had only been available in its online store. It can now be bought at the top 200 Best Buy stores, online at bestbuy.com, at Amazon, and in Apple stores in the UK.

The added distribution comes as other wearable devices are being delayed until 2015. Although she declined to specify sales volume, Perkash told WTI that her company’s top season runs past the holidays and into the new year, as people focus on heath-related resolutions.

Upcoming products, she said, include decorative clips to hold the device, as well as an app for Android and desktop apps for the Mac and Windows 7 and later. Perkash also said she was pursuing volume deals with corporate wellness departments.
