Almost exactly a year ago, we wrote about a crowdfunded project called ShotTracker, which tracks your shot attempts, misses and makes. Earlier this week, the company announced that it’s shipping product.
ShotTracker has three pieces: a sensor on the net, a small sensor on your wrist (which fits into a wristband or compression sleeve), and an app. The wrist sensor watches players’ shooting motion while ignoring dribbles, passes (hey! just like Carmelo Anthony!) and pump fakes. The app includes drills, so you can map your results and follow where your weak and strong places on the court are. And this being a competitive sport, you can share your results with your coaches, teammates, and friends.
It’s $150, from ShotTracker.com.
