What Banks Think About Wearable Tech

March 28, 2014 By Dan Rosenbaum

moto360Interesting story in American Banker about what and how banks are thinking about wearable technologies. Most of them are at least dabbling with wrist-based apps — certainly with the announcement of Android Wear, but several were looking well before that.

The story centers around notifications and information — checking balances and the like — although a couple of banks are thinking about using wristwear for transactions, like transferring money. They’re all concerned, of course, with consumer uptake; no one thought that Glass was the answer, but lots of folks are intrigued by better-looking gear like the Moto360.
